Another nice day – shock horror! That's about three now this winter. It's always nice to walk around Coalhouse Fort, East Tilbury during the week as there are only a few people about.
Still some Fieldfares around.
There was a massive flock of Avocets on the Thames at Tilbury. The RSPB's emblem and once rare in the UK, this elegant bird is now becoming extremely widespread. An agressive bird by nature, one wonders what the long term effects on other waders might be.
