At last a beautiful day yesterday and one which was a delight to be walking out in the countryside. At first a quick look to see if the Waxwings were hanging around the supermarket though – and they were!
Then on to Belhus Woods. Some of the birds I was hoping to photograph had moved on in recent weeks but I had my best view of a Great Spotted Woodpecker and some other favourites obliged and gave me a chance to experiment a bit.
From here went for a walk by the Thames and adjacent marshes at East Tilbury. I hoped to see some owls in the fading light but that was too much to expect really on such a good day! There was one surprising low flight overhead however!
Wonderful picture. The first and the last imagine is excellent.
Aye aye, loads of nice stuff!!! Cool to see different subspecies of the Long-tailed Tit, the Great Spotted Woodpecker and the Blue Tit from the ones we have in Scandinavia 🙂
